Three Contrasts for Two Horns And Wind Ensemble

This piece written by Claude T. Smith for solo horn has been arranged for two horns by Dr. Russell Coleman. Premiered on June 25, 2012 at the Missouri Bandmasters Association Convention, Port Arrowhead Resort, Lake Ozark, MO with soloists Bill Lane, Principal horn, LA Philharmonic (1973-2010) and Gary Moege, Professor of Horn at University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO.

The three sections of this masterwork (I. Intrada, II. Serenade, and III. Scherzo) challenge and excite while traveling through a variety of meter changes. Impressive!
