Allegro and Intermezzo

Commissioned by and dedicated to the Blue Springs, Missouri High School Band, Douglas Watts, Conductor. It’s premiere performance was May 9, 1984 by the Blue Springs Symphonic Band. This concert piece displays lyrical themes and challenging rhythmic motives. With a 7/8 measure included, this piece works well with upper middle/junior high students and beginning high school students.
